Michelin Star chef creates great British dessert!
Glynn Purnell from Birmingham has once again put his home town on the culinary map with his winning dessert on The Great British Menu, three years ago he won a Michelin Star for the city and he wants to offer his contemporary cuisine to the world.
Using local ingredients Glynn created a finger-licking dessert, strawberries with tarragon and black pepper honeycomb with burnt English cream surprise was the winning recipe.
In the latest series of The Great British Menu chefs were competing for the opportunity to cook a fantastic four-course dinner in the restaurant at the top of the iconic 'Gherkin' building in London.
Heston Blumenthal is the host chef and is responsible for putting contemporary British cooking on the global culinary map.
His guests will include top chefs from around the world along with food connoisseurs and celebrities who represent a cross-section of modern Britain.
