How to submit your pictures

Here at BBC Midlands Today we love to receive your pictures to show on the programme and our website. Read our quick guide on what makes a great photo before you send them to us.

We receive pictures every day, so how can you make sure that yours is the one we choose to use on air?

Here are a few tips to make your pictures out from the crowd:

This is how your pictures should look
  • Remember a TV screen is wider than it is tall so make sure your pictures are too!
  • TV resolution isn't very great so you don't need a high quality camera, anything over 2 mega pixels will be fine.
  • Make sure that your picture is in focus.
  • If your camera puts the date and time on the photo please turn this feature off.
  •  If you are sending us a weather picture, remember that Shefali stands on the left hand side of the TV screen so make sure the main object in the picture won't be hidden behind her.
  • Please don't forget to tell us your name and where you are from.
  • Please only include one image per email.
