BBC Earth branded block debuts on the new German free-to-air channel ProSieben MAXX, due to launch on Tuesday 3 September.

BBC Worldwide has concluded a deal for over 300 hours of BBC Earth content to be shown as part of a BBC Earth branded block available on the new free-to-air channel ProSieben MAXX in Germany. The channel is due to launch on Tuesday 3 September this year.

The BBC Earth block will air on the channel twice a day on weekdays, daytime and access prime time, starting from the 4 September. There will also be additional two- and three-hour-long prime-time highlights shows on selected Saturdays.

BBC Earth offers unforgettable viewing experiences aimed at connecting people to the amazing world around us in a way that is meaningful and relevant to their lives today. It aims to inspire viewers by showing the extraordinary stories and the wonders of the planet.

The deal will give ProSieben MAXX viewers unprecedented access to some of the best BBC Earth programming, including Deadly 60, in which British naturalist, writer and television presenter Steve Backshall travels the world to track down the deadliest animals on the planet; The Secret Life Of Crocodiles, which investigates the secret world of these dangerous predators; and Life Below Zero, which follows the drama and hardships experienced by four Alaskan households in different corners of this merciless territory as they battle to make it through a long, dark and freezing winter.

The BBC Earth branded block launches on ProSieben MAXX on Tuesday 3 September and will air twice a day, daytime and access prime time, on weekdays and prime time on selected Saturdays. ProSieben MAXX will be available to more than 60 per cent of German households via cable, satellite and IPTV.
