BBC Worldwide today announces that its CFO, Philip Vincent, is to leave the company to take up a new role as Director, Finance and Control for SAB Miller plc.

Philip Vincent said “BBC Worldwide is a unique company at an exciting juncture, but this is a fantastic opportunity to work at a FTSE 100 company with some amazing brands, which has been an ambition of mine for some time.  I’m grateful for the 15 years I’ve spent at the BBC, mostly at BBC Worldwide, and the opportunities afforded, as well as hugely excited at the challenges that lie ahead.”

Recruitment for a new CFO will begin immediately and Philip Vincent will leave BBC Worldwide at Christmas.  Following his departure, BBC Worldwide America CFO Andrew Bott will take on his responsibilities as Interim CFO while a permanent successor is found.

Biographical notes

Philip Vincent was appointed as CFO of BBC Worldwide in December 2010, prior to which he held a number of positions in BBC Worldwide including Deputy CFO, Group Finance Director, Broadcast and Digital, and Finance Director for the Global Channels division.

Andrew Bott was appointed as CFO of BBC Worldwide America in 2007, following a number of roles in BBC Worldwide, originally based in London and in New York since 2000. In his current role he is responsible for financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, financial strategy, and risk management activities for BBC Worldwide America and for BBC Worldwide Global Advertising Sales.  He is ACA qualified, having qualified with Price Waterhouse in 1994.  Prior to joining BBC Worldwide he worked in divisional finance for Pearson plc.
