David Beckham Into The Unknown follows David and three of his closest friends as they explore and experience the isolation of the Brazilian rainforest on a once in a lifetime expedition. The world knows that David Beckham, one of the most decorated football players of all time, has hung up his professional boots. What the world doesn’t know is that the global superstar recently travelled over 5,000 miles from London to South America, to experience life in the Amazon rainforest.
During the course of their journey, Beckham and his friends cook, camp and fish through the tropical Amazon rainforest to discover the “real Brazil” with world renowned Director Anthony Mandler capturing their exploits on film.
David Beckham Into The Unknown is a 1x90 documentary film and a DBrazil TV Ltd Production for the BBC. It will air on BBC One in the UK on Monday 9 June with BBC Worldwide holding international distribution rights for the programme. As well as the 1x90’ duration, it will also be available as a 2x45’ outside of the UK.
