BBC Worldwide to commission a new format for channel portfolio in South Africa

BBC Worldwide announced today that it is looking for a new format to produce locally in South Africa to air on its channels portfolio, as part of BBC Worldwide’s commitment to premium content in Africa.

This will be the second local production for BBC Worldwide in South Africa after Come Dine With Me South Africa which has been a huge success on BBC Entertainment, reaching five million DStv viewers over its three series and winning a SAFTA for Best International format.

Come Dine With Me South Africawill not be returning for a fourth seriesas BBC Worldwide focuses its efforts on a fresh and innovative format to produce in the territory.

In the meantime, BBC Worldwide continues to offer a fantastic slate of upcoming programming, including original commission, Rachel Khoo’s Kitchen Notebook: Cosmopolitan Cook and the hugely popular BBC series, Great British Bake Off.
