The UK’s leading food website BBCGoodFood.com re-launched today offering fans more practical ‘how to’ video content, more powerful search and easier navigation options and a seamless experience across multiple devices.  The country’s number one, one-stop-shop for tried and triple tested recipes, cookery skills, expert nutritional and dietary advice and ‘how to’ sections including ‘occasions and events’ and ‘family and kids’ - now features responsive design technology.  This technological innovation ensures that users experience a seamless viewing experience across all devices from desktop, mobile or tablet.

The new look site which has been designed with a global audience in mind, underpins BBC Worldwide’s commitment to deliver one unified experience for its international fan base.  The new platform was built using Drupal, a flexible, open source content management platform with a large developer following.  BBCGoodFood.com joins The Economist as one of the largest publishing sites powered by the technology.

BBCGoodFood.com launched back in 2006 and now attracts up to 40.9 million page views per month, with Sunday’s proving the most popular day of the week for recipe browsing.  The UK’s top 10 most voted for recipes, according to site’s UK users are:

A range of BBC Good Food Apps have been launched over the past two years to complement the website, including Healthy, One-pot and Cake.  To date BBC Good Food apps have been downloaded 2 million times.  A free-to-download master app also launched in October 2012, which acts as a virtual bookshelf for fans to keep all their BBC Good Food cookbooks together, as well as offering handy tips and virtual cooking tools. 

Fans of BBC Good Food can also share their latest culinary delights with others via Facebook and Twitter.
