Matt Stein has been promoted to SVP, Marketing, Promotion, and Creative Services for BBC AMERICA, effective immediately, announced Perry Simon, General Manager, BBC AMERICA.

Stein joined the channel in 2010 as VP, Promotions and Creative Services. Over the last three years, Stein has worked on the successful launch of the channel’s first original drama series, COPPER, led the marketing efforts behind record ratings for Doctor Who and Top Gear, and been an integral part of the team that has led BBC AMERICA to its highest-rated year ever.
“Matt has played a crucial role in our recent marketing success,” says Simon. “He has been a driving force to reinvigorate the voice of BBC AMERICA and take the channel to the next level.”
In his new role, Stein will continue to oversee all marketing, advertising, and promotional activity for BBC AMERICA, and will act as a central point of contact for brand relations with the UK. Stein continues to report to Perry Simon.
Prior to joining BBC AMERICA, Stein worked in the On-Air Creative Group for Spike TV as Editorial Director. He is a graduate of The University of Texas.
