BBC Worldwide’s DVD release of the London 2012 Olympics has become the best-selling Sport & Fitness DVD ever in the UK according to figures from the Official Charts Company / British Video Association.
Following the Christmas trading period, sales of the London 2012 Olympic Games DVD and Blu-Ray Disc have now topped 550,000 - a new record - beating that of the previous top title The Ashes 2005 – The Greatest Series.
Produced by BBC Sport, the DVD features over seven hours of sporting highlights from the Olympic Games as well as Danny Boyle’s hugely-celebrated opening ceremony and exclusive commentary plus the full closing ceremony featuring some of Britain’s best-known music stars.
