BBC Worldwide’s Branded Services Creative team won two prestigious silver awards at the PromaxBDA Awards held in Johannesburg recently, an event celebrating excellence in television marketing branding and promotion.

The first award was given for the team’s outstanding work on BBC Entertainment’s Come Dine With Me South Africa Series 2 in the Best Programme Campaign category. Filmed in territory, the promo focuses on what viewers loved most about the show – the drama, competition, great food and unique South African personalities.

Currently in its third series, Come Dine With Me South Africa is BBC Worldwide’s first local commission in the region, shooting in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, and for the very first time, Port Elizabeth.

The team also won in the Best Documentary or Factual Entertainment category for their work with local agency, Black River, on BBC Knowledge’s natural history series Africa. The ambition for this campaign was to show South Africa in a new, engaging and surprising way.
