Saturdays will have a new look from 7 April 2012, when renowned and much loved presenter Gilles Peterson launces a new Saturday show from 3pm-6pm.
BBC Radio 6 Music celebrates its 10th Anniversary this month and to mark the occasion will bring listeners a jam-packed weekend of treats on 10 and 11 March.
BBC Radio 6 Music today confirmed that Blur’s Graham Coxon and New York’s De La Soul's Plug 1 & Plug 2 Present First Serve will both take part in the station’s 10th Anniversary celebrations next month. Graham Coxon will join the line up at BBC 6 Music’s Southbank centre celebrations on Friday 16th March.
BBC Radio 6 Music today announces that comedian, writer and actor Peter Serafinowicz will front a series of six shows on every Saturday from 10am-1pm from 18 February 2012.
Next month, BBC Radio 6 Music will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a host of commemorative programming. The celebration, which kicks-off on Sunday 11 March, ranges from dedicated content and special guests, to exclusive Maida Vale sessions and a special BBC Radio 6 Music at Southbank Centre* event. A host of exclusive content will also be available to watch at bbc.co.uk/6music and on the Red Button.
Tonight sees the launch of the inaugural BBC Radio 6 Music John Peel Lecture, a keynote speech given by a leading figure in music and/or broadcasting.
BBC Radio 2 today announced that Elbow fans will get the chance to watch the exclusive In Concert Elbow homecoming gig at Manchester Cathedral at a special free BBC Big Screen event at Exchange Square organised in conjunction with Manchester City Council.
BBC Radio 6 Music will launch The John Peel Lecture, a keynote speech given by a leading figure in music and/or broadcasting, at this year's Radio Festival in October.
