Joining Jools on the second show of this series will be Boston’s legendary Pixies, who will be on hand to play a handful of classics and new tunes from their hugely influential catalogue.

Janelle Monae – who shot to fame with her debut The ArchAndroid in 2010 – will also be in the studio showcasing tracks from her new album, The Electric Lady, which features collaborations with Prince and Erykah Badu.

Swamp Rock Blues legend Tony Joe White, whose songwriting credits include Polk Salad Annie, Steamy Windows and Rainy Night In Georgia, will be playing a couple of numbers from his new album Hoodoo. Hotly tipped Glasgow electropop trio CHVRCHES will be making their Later debut with tunes from their debut The Bones Of What You Believe. Also, from Boston will be the R&B stylings of Barrence Whitfield & The Savages, whose album Dig Thy Savage Soul is their first in almost 20 years.
