Shahid Afridi Show
Pakistani cricketer, Shahid Afridi is best known for his aggressive batting style, and holds the record for the fastest ODI century, which he made in his first international innings, as well as scoring 32 runs in a single over, the second highest scoring over ever in an ODI.
The BBC Asian Network will be bringing Shahid directly to listeners on two occasions, first in a special coaching event at Edgbaston, home of Warwickshire Cricket Club and again in a special show, where he talks to evening presenter Gagan Grewal about his successful career.
Ticket details for the Edgbaston event will be announced soon and highlights from the event.
Noreen Khan In Conversation with Madhuri Dixit, Wednesday 23 May, 3-6pm
Madhuri Dixit is one of Bollywood’s most esteemed film actresses. This exclusive programme, pre-recorded at the BBC’s Radio Theatre last month, sees Noreen Khan talking to the actress about her career, her success and her private life.
The Shah Rukh Khan Show, Wednesday 20 June, 6-9pm
Often referred to as "The King of Bollywood", Shah Rukh Khan has graced the cinema screen for over three decades. In addition to his Heroes series recorded exclusively for the BBC Asian Network, he will present ‘The Shah Rukh Khan Show’ with help from Breakfast presenter Tommy Sandhu. Listeners will be able to talk to the celebrated star via social media, text and phone and listeners can win a competition to meet the actor on the day (details to be announced in May.)
Noreen Khan In Conversation with Adnan Sami, Wednesday 16 May, 3-6pm
Adnan Sami is a British-born Pakistani/Indian Canadian musician, who works and lives in Mumbai as an actor, singer, pianist and composer. He has risen to become one of the most successful artists in non-film music worldwide. Recorded in April, this In Conversation with event sees afternoon presenter Noreen Khan taking Adnan on a musical journey through his career, from his birth in the UK to the Pop world in Pakistan and Bollywood in India.
