The BBC Proms today announces full details of its 2015 season, marking the 120th anniversary of the world’s largest and longest-running music festival. Opening at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 17 July 2015, the BBC Proms presents two months of many of the world’s greatest artists, composers, orchestras and ensembles across 92 concerts, including four Last Night celebrations around the UK.
The Anglo American comedy series stars Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning Matt LeBlanc as Matt LeBlanc, a fictionalized version of himself.
There were 255m requests to BBC iPlayer in March, with a weekly average of 57m requests. Note: measurement issues in March meant we were unable to capture a large volume of TV requests, and radio requests have changed as a result of updates to radio streaming services.
18 year-old dancer Harry Barnes, from the Wirral, has won the Hip Hop Category Final of the first ever BBC Young Dancer. He will join 5 other dancers who will perform on stage at Sadler’s Wells in the Grand Final on Saturday 9th May, broadcast on BBC Two.
Today the BBC and Hay Festival unveiled the line-up for this year’s BBC tent at Hay Festival 2015 (Thursday 21 to Sunday 31 May). Part of a major three year global partnership with Hay, announced last year by Director General Tony Hall, the BBC Tent and venues across the site will host a series of free events and live recordings of the organisation’s flagship shows. There will also be coverage of the festival’s greatest writers, thinkers and performers across its programmes on radio, television and online.

Last night’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2015 saw a host of folk music stars come together for an evening of recognition and show-stopping performances.
