New presenter and all-round funny girl Ellie Taylor will be joining POD (Personal Overhaul Device), who has had an overhaul of her own with upgraded graphics and a new audio interface in the fifth series of Snog, Marry, Avoid?

Ellie and the rebooted POD will be taking Snog, Marry, Avoid? nationwide as they embark on a tour of the country. Each week they will be invading a different city uncovering some of Britain’s most OTT style. With Ellie’s quick wit and POD’s trademark put-downs, slap addicts beware as this dynamic duo could be heading to a city near you.

The latest series of the infamous make-under show will uncover some of the most extreme looks to date and produce incredible transformations, as Ellie gets underneath the fake tan and reveals the emotional stories beneath.

Colette Foster, Managing Director of Remarkable Television, says: “We’re extremely excited about taking the format forward and Ellie, with her kooky girl-next-door warmth, will inject a big dose of comedy into the show. We will scour the country for the most OTT looks and fans of the show will see some of the most dramatic make-unders yet.”

Sam Bickley, Commissioning Executive Producer for the BBC, said: “Snog, Marry, Avoid? is a fab make-under show and it is great to see the series hitting the road with the infamous POD transformations and an exciting, new talent at the helm. Ellie Taylor brings a brand new comedy vibe to the format and a fun, big sister quality that will allow the extraordinary real life stories to emerge too."

The series producer is Steve Handley. The series was commissioned for BBC Three by Zai Bennett and Sam Bickley.
