BBC Radio 5 live kicks off its new football season coverage with some treats to complement the live commentary as Spoony (Jonathan Joseph) exclusively interviews Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho at 7pm on Monday August 20th.
Two Premier League stars, Reading’s Jason Roberts and West Brom’s Steven Reid will take calls from listeners fresh off the pitch and discuss the thrills spills and controversies of the first weekends action on Sunday August 19th from 6-7pm.
The following weekend on Monday August 27th Mark Chapman and Robbie Savage will host a special 606 fans forum in front of over a thousand spectators in the piazza at Media City, Salford.
From Sunday August 19th early birds can catch a new weekly 5 live non - league football show at 5.30am-6am and later risers can get the weekly free download of the show or catch up with the show on the BBC Iplayer.
