On Saturday 6 October, One Direction will join DJs on Radio 1 to each co-host a show in honour of the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards.

From 8am to 6pm, one member of the popular boyband will each join Gemma Cairney, Nick Grimshaw, Scott Mills, Huw Stephens and Greg James to help present their shows across the day. They will be selecting the music, taking listener calls and bringing their own bespoke features to the shows, for one day only.

The line-up is:

  • Gemma Cairney and One Direction’s Liam Payne (08:00-10:00)
  • Nick Grimshaw and One Direction’s Harry Styles (10:00-12:00)
  • Scott Mills and One Direction’s Zayn Malik (12:00-14:00)
  • Huw Stephens and One Direction’s Niall Horan (14:00-16:00)
  • Greg James and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson (16:00-18:00)

One Direction will be headlining this year’s Radio 1 Teen Awards, live from Wembley Arena on Sunday 7 October.

The superstar pop band will be giving a live performance at the awards - which celebrate inspirational teenagers who have really made a difference - as well as stars from the worlds of entertainment, sport and music.

Conor Maynard, Taylor Swift, Fun, Ne-yo and Little Mix are also confirmed to perform at the star-studded awards ceremony, which will be presented by Radio 1’s own Nick Grimshaw. Gemma Cairney will be presenting at the Radio 1 Teen Awards alongside host Nick Grimshaw and reporting backstage, speaking to the stars.

The centrepiece of Radio 1's Teen Awards will be the recognition of three very special teenagers, who will each win a Teen Hero Award.

The Radio 1 Teen Awards will also be broadcast on Monday 8th October on BBC Three at 8pm.
