Clive Anderson joins Radio Scotland to present The Guessing Game
I am very much looking forward to making The Guessing Game in Glasgow. My father was a Glaswegian and I think I inherited my sense of humour from him, and quite a lot of my jokes.”Clive Anderson
Clive said today: “I am very much looking forward to making The Guessing Game in Glasgow. My father was a Glaswegian and I think I inherited my sense of humour from him, and quite a lot of my jokes. I would also like to catch up with Scottish football as I have got a little out of touch. How are things going…?”
Jeff Zycinski, Head of BBC Radio Scotland, said: “It is great news to welcome a talent such as Clive Anderson to present The Guessing Game along with this fantastic range of top star comic names as panellists. I have always been a huge admirer of Clive’s easy, yet formidable, wit and he is the latest in a range of high-profile names – from Billy Connolly to Brian Cox, Kirsty Wark to Peter Mullan, Gary Lewis to Greg Hemphill – that we have recently welcomed to the station through our drama, comedy, and arts output.”
In each programme of The Guessing Game Clive will fire a host of bizarre questions to three star comedy panellists and enjoy their outlandish guesswork.
The six shows will be recorded in BBC Scotland Pacific Quay on Wednesday 21 March and Thursday 22 March as part of the Glasgow Comedy Festival.
Tickets are free and available from today (Monday 5 March) via bbc.co.uk/showsandtours/tickets.
The Guessing Game will transmit from Wednesday 4 April at 2pm on BBC Radio Scotland. The producer is Margaret Anne Docherty.
