On September 16th 2006, Connie Fisher's life changed forever. It was the night she won How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? and secured her life-long dream - to play the lead role in a West End Musical.
Graham Norton traces her journey from backstage, after Connie landed the part of Maria, and follows her journey as a leading lady through rehearsals and all the way to her opening night at the London Palladium.
Connie's Story is on BBC One, 27th December at 6.30pm. It includes contributions from Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian, Arlene Phillips, Lesley Garrett, Sheila Hancock and Michelle Collins.
