Leanne has adopted a new strategy for success.
Our baby Maria is not resting on her laurels and has revealed her tactics for becoming exactly the kind of person the experts want for the role.
"When David said I turned into a woman it made me feel like I had done my job, because that is what I went there to do," she said.
"During the week I tried to take in everything and everyone, and I was looking around at the mature people David likes. I'm not really the sexy Maria, so I'm not going for that... I'm just trying to [watch] the mature people like Simona and Connie... and see what they do, as that's who they like. I had to take certain people's mannerisms to make me seem more mature."
Tune in on Saturday at 6.45pm and 9.25pm on BBC One to see if you can spot who she's learnt from this week. Even if a career on the West End stage doesn't beckon, we guess there's always a role on Dead Ringers!

i don't think you are too young, but i think that you need a bit more training before you can take on a big role like that. i think you have a wonderful voice, considering you have had hardly any training. there was one time when i went off you, and that was when i saw you act. but when i know that you're through, i still think to myself "Yess!" because i know there is hope for you still to play in the sound of music.
I Also think that you should play the role of Liesl because you are very much like her. you would suit her very well.

Leanne is a fantastic performer and will certainly go far in this career, but unfortunately I don't think her strategy of trying to be more mature is going to work. She simply looks too young, and I don't think there's a way of solving that for this role. She would look like one of the children and Captain von Trapp would be accused of cradle snatching! Sorry Leanne, but I don't just think you fit the bill for this role. Such a shame you're not 5 years older...
