Who would we be saying so long, farewell to this week?
The moment had come to announce the would-be Maria that would be leaving the competition.
But first Graham announced the two who had the least viewer votes and who would have to sing once more for survival - with Andrew Lloyd Webber deciding who should go through and who would be leaving the Maria House.
Helena and Laura had to perform No Matter What, a song written by Andrew Lloyd Webber himself. Judging on tonight's performances from the two, Andrew decided confidence was the key criteria.
In the end it was Laura who was Von Trapped, and who the rest of the girls bid adieu to in an emotional rendition of So Long, Farewell.

Andrew Lloyd Webber made a good point about Captain Von Trapp being an older man with 6 children. Leanne tho good would look just too young and is much better for Leisel. The stand out is Connie. Perfect in everyway. You need real stamina and experience to carry this show. Simone is exc. but not for this role. Good luck to Connie you have my vote.

What a terrible shame Simona has to literally climb the highest mountain because everyone is so blinkered about her beautiful accent. The woman clearly oozes talent. I wish her well and am sure she'll make it but within the first few minutes it was quite clear to me who the winner should be - Connie. Fabulous.

Before the show, I thought as a Brit of Turkish origin, it was my duty to vote for Meliz. But it's not a duty. It's a joy! What a brave choice to sing Son of a Preacher Man and what a victory to make that song her own so beautifully. She is not only beautiful but also sweet and natural: a very rare combination. Even if she doesn't make this one, I am sure she has a great future on stage ahead of her. Go Meliz go!

glad that emilie decided to quit the show as i was sick of her moaning last week especially when she said she was fed up of singing the sound of music,and its nice to siobhan back! However i think that connie may clinch it i think she has more a maria look than the other girls but i would like leanne to win as she has not been professionally trained and never been to drama school etc and it would be lovely to see someone normal win

As a singer,I thought mostof them were really poor singing live and at this moment in time cannot see how any of them could possibly sing in London every night. Except for Belinda! She is one of the only ones who can actually control the sound she is creating and would be able to survive vocally on stage every night. She would be the only one that I would actually pay money to listen to!!!!

It's vital that the new Maria be completely different from Julie Andrews, so that the production can be judged on its own merits and not as a re-hash of the original. So I think Simona is the right one - she looks different, she has the right qualities and the trace of accent is not only attractive but right for an un-English setting.

And finally, Simona.....NEVER going to be a Maria, but i adored her. Loved the snippets of her doing Evita, but someone should bring back 'Piaf' and sign her up immediately!! She'll make it, regardless of not being a Maria!

I'm really not that impressed with the remaining finalists, EXCEPT for Simona. One of the judges said to Simona: "lose your accent." Surely she doesn't have to be as English as Julie Andrews was (before she went to the States?). Maria was Austrian from Salzburg for God's sake. The Romanian girl is perfect WITH her accent. Talk about you people having "mindsets!" Much better to have a plausible accent than one from Barking Berkshire. Don't spoil this whole production because she isn't English. What are you coming too?

We need to see more of the other girls! You have focused so much on a few individuals that the other girls don't stand a chance with the public because they don't know them. I think Helena sounds fantastic from the snippets I've heard, it's just a shame we haven't seen more of her.
