This girl IS MARIA!!! What more do they want? Seriously, she is every inch Maria and is clearly capable of taking on such a responsible west end role. It's so lovely to see her beautiful looks, hear her wonderful voice and not have to take a dislike to her personality like so many singers/actors who have 'trained'. She is clearly a normal person and has a lovely personality. I hope she stays the same, don't go changing. Also, she has a hint of the 'tom boy' image that Andrew is pushing so hard for! GO CONNIE, you're the best up there!

Without a doubt Connie would do credit to the role of Maria in the forthcoming production of the Sound of Music.
I only hope that she doesn't try too hard and come across too confident in the early stages of the selection process otherwise she will be voted off. Andrew Lloyd Webber is no fool and I believe that he has already decided that Connie is the one for him. Go for it Connie you will be a star in your own right you see.

I think Philip, that looking and moving like Julie Andrews isn't really necessary criteria for making a perfect Maria. Of course, Andrews portrayal was legendry. But Connie, has the conviction, the talent and the enthusiastic attitude to beome a believeable Maria, all of her own. She IS for me, the best candidate, and she greatly deserves her place in the top 10. I just hope the public see her ability and realise that she is the woman for the job.

How does one start to describe your talent Connie?
The Sound of Music has always been 'my favorite musical film, and so this competition is particularly of interest to me. I live in France, and will come over to England early 2007 to see this splendid, long awaited show.
Connie, I really hope that all of your hard work in the past will pay off this time. You were quite simply fantastic. You, and only you, turned my stomach inside out as you sang, made me shiver, get goosebumps, and take those long deep breathes when we just long for something to continue that extra minute. You really have 'the magic' of Maria. Each of your particular contributions to the competition, whether it be individual or as a group, revealed your capacity to portray exctasy, sorrow, joy and determination.
For me, an English woman abroad, you are the ONLY one who will give the audience the 'Maria' that they are expecting... Go Connie Go... I will be setting my recorder every week to follow you and support you as you strive towards the ultimate prize that you will so rightly deserve. It will be an honour for me to travel home to see you on stage in what is for me, THE show of my life.
