Andrew certainly got it wrong this time and I believe she would have been in the top 3 if the area where she came from were allowed to vote; very unfair and unsatisfactory. In my opinion, Aoife was the best contender as she looked the part, acted the part and could certainly sing the part. She had the most difficult song to perform and she did it extremely well. The panel and Andrew made a huge mistake. I will now vote for Helena.

Aoife (or should I say Eefer :-) you were absolutely fabulous in the show and perfect for the part of Maria - in talent, looks and personality! Like most of Galway I was screaming at the tv every Saturday night that you'd go through. Unfortunately a bad song choice by ALW (though you did a great job) and maybe a little politics prevailed on the semi-final night. You did Galway and Ireland proud and will be a leading lady very soon - Go on ya good thing !!

I'd just like to start by saying what a fabulous show it has been. However, I do believe that the public should be allowed to vote off the least popular, having said that I do like Helena. I don't however like siobhan, well not like is a bit strong, I don't think she is right for the part of Maria, she is far too young and pretty. No disrespect to Julie Andrews, but she wasn't exactly a beauty was she? Anyway Connie should win because she is the most talented.

Aiofe was the perfect Maria for me - so sorry to see her go. As for that kiss, she was asked to respond naturally - so rejected an inappropriate advance rather than act a part. Besides, her response was entirely in charater with Maria - who was after all a spirited nun!

I think it was the right decision. Aiofe is older than they wanted for the part.Also her singing is not as good as Siobhan.She does act better but has 7 years more experience than Siobhan. She does have a lovely personality though.

i am gutted aiofe is out of the competition ! i thought she was the only one in the whole competition with a theatrical speaking voice! i really thought she would win this thing! but she did great anyway and she will always be my maria!i now have high hopes for connie!

Strange that some people here can be so negative about the choices that are made. Ofcourse they all were good performers otherwise they wouldn't be in the show anymore. Three very different contestants are still in the race. One is a better singer, the other is a better actress and the third has proven that she can show her strength at the moment it is needed(just like the real Maria). So all three are true Finalists and I can live with any of those Maria's. Hopefully we'll see them do something out of "The Sound of Music"in the finale so it'll be clearer who is the right Maria. I wonder who would have sung the Footloose number better than Aiofe did last Saturday, complete with dancing and all?!

Aoife- the ONLY contestant to be Maria. Connie - talented but wrong part for her; she belts out the numbers , should be in Cabaret or Chicago. Helena - talented but a bit weak. Siobahn - good voice but CANNOT act to save her life. Abi - always runner up to Aoife. Aoife is the only one i would pay to watch on stage.

Aoife, I cant believe that ALW made that decision, but when I saw Siobhan and you singing for survival I knew he would pick Siobhain as he had already saved her befor the final 10, I thought that your song was the toughest of the night along with your dance routine, the others were just "normal", even Helena's voice was all over the shop on saturday, now I aint no expert but the Judges got it wrong, you will make though that I am sure... no more Town hall theatre for you.. You did so well as I knew you would... but the Judges... Ah me thinks they were wearing beer goggles... !

Let's get real shall we?
Aoife should have been in the final as she is by far the best actress. ALW suggested that her voice wasn't up to it but the vocal coach had already mentioned how much her voice was improving. It'll take far, far longer to teach Siobhan how to act! We should celebrate the fact that the show has uncovered Siobhan, but this part is not for her - she doesn't act, isn't confident and (as a fashion student) obviously doesn't have the desire of the other girls. After the number of breaks she has had and the praise heaped upon her every week, standing in the semi and saying 'I think I might be able to do it' isn't good enough! Helena's professionalism and determination are what you need for a long stint of 6-8 West End shows a week!

I've never much cared for Aoife before, but found her rendition of 'Argentina' very moving (particularly in comparison with Siobhan's rather lifeless performance).

What a shock result!! I was almost certain that Helena would be in the bottom two either time and i couldnt believe it when she wasnt. Slightly strange the public suddenly warmed to her after her getting the least votes most weeks dont you think? Dont get me wrong coz she is very talented but i dont think the part is for her. Sad to see Abi and Aoife go coz they were fab throughout!! Now im torn between Siobhan and Connie. Siobhan is a figure of beauty and has a wonderful voice and Connie also has a great voice andd she is a fab actress. I did vote for Siobhan on Sat tho. XxXxX

Wrong choice! So wrong! Aiofe sang that with enormous passion whilst Siobhan stood like a porcelain doll (oh yes she did move her hand once). Compare the voices and yes Siobhan has a beautiful voice but Aiofe's is equally strong when on her own and the girl did really convey the song. Well at least that's Connie's biggest competition out of the way... Well done Aiofe.. go Connie xx

Very disappointed with ALW's decision to lose Aoife she has a fresh , natural beauty that is sooo Maria. She was also at a disadvantage with her hometown being unable to vote for her.She was one of the few that did not bitch about the others and that speaks for itself , A True professional ! I really do not understand Andrew's decision. Aiofe sang with much more feeling and made me feel she meant every word of whatever song she sang. Sibhan, in contrast has no personality or enthusiasm when she sings. Yes, she is attractive, yes, she can sing, but for me she doesn't have the special quality of a show singer. I will be very disappointed if she wins, but I think that's how it's shaping up in Marialand!

What a heartfelt final performance Aiofe gave...surly she has the spirit of Maria in her heart.Not only the all round talent but the actions of herself both on and off the stage and reaction of those near her...totaly Maria like. Would have to agree that the public are often judging the song not the singer, the song given is critical. Best wishes for the future Aiofe.

I think Siobhan was the best of the two in the sing off. In this stage of the show getting send away is nothing to be ashamed of. Don't forget next week two other girls have to go, only one can win. That does not mean that the rest isn't good. So even tough Aiofe was really good, she was not the best Maria. I also think that Connie might be the best Maria, but I really like Helena. I think she is really talented and she is very sweet!

If only we could combine Siobhan's voice with Aiofe's warmth and acting skills! For me Siobhan is too wooden, although I did not feel that Aiofe's voice was strong enough. I guess it has to be Connie, out of the 3 remainders. I was really gunning for Abi - thought she had real character, charm and something just that little bit different.

I'm so sad that Aiofe's out of the running-she was a better actress than Siobhan as well as better-looking, and she had way more personality when she sang. If she had had a stronger voice she would have won, but i think Andrew L-W made the right decision-it is a musical, so the strongest voice is best! Connie 2 win!!!

Was so disappointed that Aoife was out this week. She has a beautiful voice and looks like maria more than any of the others. Felt her song choice was the most challenging especially with a difficult dance routine. Thought Footloose was a tad unfair as no-one else had such a hard dance routine and the song didn't show off her voice as well as it could have.

I was shocked that Aoife went out last night. My final 3 were Connie, Siobhan & Aoife & I would pay to see any 3 as Maria. At least now with Helena in the final, we can cross fingers that Connie will win & Siobhan will be the understudy. I unfortunately will not pay good money to see Helena as Maria. I have seen Sound of Music enough times to know that Helena is NOT Maria. Sorry Helena, you are talented but not for SoM.

Aoife for me was the most interesting performer. I hope she will continue to work on her singing, because I saw glimpses of an amazing quality in the way she put the songs across. I love her innocent sexiness and the honesty of her personality and performance, which comes from the heart. I think she has all the right qualities for Maria, but maybe Andrew LW is right, and she needs to develop stamina, and make sure her voice is really ready. I think most of the finalists are extremely talented - what a difficult task to audition in front of the nation.
