Cloudy with further rain, although the rain tending to become somewhat lighter and most dying out by the morning. Cold with a strong north or northeasterly wind persisting.
Monday:
Many places dry with some sunshine. One or two mostly light showers are possible near the coast and over the Pennines. Cold but the strong northerly winds will decrease.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Tuesday starts dry and very frosty with light winds. Heavy rain spreads east later Tuesday into Wednesday, preceded by sleet or snow over high ground. Sunshine and showers for Thursday.
