Children at Alma Park School in Levenshulme had the chance to perform in front of Britain’s favourite tenor Russell Watson at on Friday 20 June.

A visit from the singer, known as ‘The Voice’, was a celebration to mark the close of the BBC Voices project.

After they had sung to him, the pupils asked Russell to return the favour with a song for them.

As you can see from the pictures Russell was delighted to oblige.
