It's the first the first time ever a landmark BBC series has taken to the road and the Life Of Mammals Touring Exhibition is visiting eight Science centres across the UK - including Manchester.

It's at the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry from Friday 7 to Sunday 16 March. Admission will be free.

Giraffe
But what colour is its tongue?
Suitable for all ages, but particularly families with children, it gives budding ‘young Attenboroughs’ the chance to discover loads of fascinating facts about mammal behaviour.

There is a SoundSphere where you can listen to whalesong, a Smell zone where you can sniff an otter, and interactive exhibits including a computer Mammal Survival game.

The Tour also gives a unique behind-the-scenes look at how this excellent series was made - with talks from the programme-makers, mammal workshops, the chance to see previously unseen footage and opportunities to get interactive with BBCi through the web and digital TV.
