RND 09: Swimming with Sharks

Still laughing? For Red Nose Day 2009, weather presenter and BBC Radio Manchester's Dianne Oxberry went swimming with sharks at the Blue Planet Aquarium to raise money for Comic Relief.

Fish food: Shark circling its prey...

The Ellesmere Port aquarium is home to one of Europe's largest collection of sharks. including lemon sharks, nurse sharks, black and white tip sharks and, biggest of them all, Wilma, an 11-foot sand tiger shark.

To raise money for Red Nose Day 2009, BBC Radio Manchester's Dianne Oxberry donned her wet suit and got in the water with Wilma and Blue Planet's other sharks (Wednesday 11 March)

This year's theme is 'Do Something Funny for Money'. To see if Dianne was still laughing as she entered a shark-infested tank, take a look our our photo gallery...
