However, special arrangements have been made to allow the people of Greater Manchester to vote on the final day of the ballot. The Royal Mail have said that if your ballot paper is mailed BEFORE the last post collection on Thursday 11 December, it WILL reach the Returning Officer by the 10pm deadline. [NB. please check the time of the last post in your area] ALSO, special delivery points, open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday, have been set up in locations across Greater Manchester for anyone to drop off their papers by hand.
