The Great Unheard

Cyril Snear
Cyril Snear

Cyril Snear

in their own words...
To find out about Cyril Snear, we went to the streets of Manchester to ask the public what they really thought about the band.

What We Think:

"Named after a cartoon villain, Cyril Snear’s name is something of a misnomer. It sounds like a punk band, when in reality, they are a trio of ambient space-riders who deal in ethereal vocals and throwabout beats with some success. This is Cinematic Orchestra territory, albeit on the outskirts, but with a bit more concentration, the Snear could yet ride into town triumphant!"

Chris Long

After a 20 second taster we asked for their opinions...

Elsie - Charity work - Aged 82 - "It's not like it was in my day"

Steve - Plumber - Aged 33 - "Think you lads need to head more in the Oasis direction"

Jon - Watch lab technician - Aged 23 - "It's like three years in prison with only flowers and your mind"

Benjamin - Personal injury specialist - Aged 18 - "I'd dance to that like"

Imhotep - Sandwich artist - Aged 21 - "Off the map mate. Off the map"

Holden - Author - Aged 27 - "Get on board"

Cathy - Student - Aged 19 - "Unpredictable and yet rather melodic at the same time"

Wayne - Unemployed - Age unknown - "I fear this music"

KERR - Trainee actress - Aged 19 - "Pushing the electronic envelope"

Dave - Call centre agent - Aged 25 - "Bridging the gap between electronica and guitar music"

Three words from the band themselves:-

Potent

Escape

Omelette
