Manchester has long been recognised as an entertainment capital with world class venues such as the Palace Theatre and the Royal Exchange to the Lowry, Bridgewater Hall and the MEN Arena playing host to a glittering array of star performers. To cater for the huge following, BBC Radio Manchester now has its own programme dedicated to the entertainment scene. 'The Show Show' is broadcast every Thursday evening between 8 pm and 10 pm on 95.1 FM and is presented by Natalie Anglesey and produced by Corinne Hill. Natalie has been a theatre critic for more than 20 years working in radio and television as well as national and local newspapers. And like Natalie, Corinne is a long-standing judge of the prestigious annual MEN Theatre Awards. "Each week we'll be telling listeners about forthcoming productions and providing reviews." explains Natalie. "There is such a wide variety of entertainment happening across Greater Manchester. We won't just be hearing from the stars - we'll also be going backstage to find out all the stories away from the headline acts and giving advice on the best tickets to buy. "There'll also be features throughout the day on BBC Radio Manchester but Thursday evening is now the regular slot for entertainment lovers." - Contact details: Corinne Hill on 0161 244 3049 or corinne.hill@bbc.co.uk
