Bramhall stunned as Vikings are handed victory

Clive Rothel
Stockport Metro Junior League Under 11's Div 2: Stockport Vikings 4 v 2 Bramhall North

Bramhall North left Didsbury Road pointless and aggrieved at the free kick awarded for handling that lead to Viking's third goal as the ball had clearly been taken on the chest of their defender.

Bramhall wasted a number of great opportunities but twice had to fight back to level the scores, firstly through Dan Rothel's powerfully driven penalty and then a second half strike from Hayden Amos.

They were to rue those earlier misses as Vikings took the lead for a third time from the hotly disputed free kick and added a fourth late on as Bramhall pushed for an equaliser.

A gutsy performance from the away team for which they got no reward but bodes well for the promotion run-in.
