Bramhall North avenged their shock opening day defeat at Marple in fine style, hitting Rose Hill Rovers with six unanswered second half goals. Bramhall failed to get an early grip on the game and with it, a sense of inevitability that Rovers took the lead when their centre forward battled through a couple of challenges to roll the ball into the net. Things went from bad to worse ten minutes later when Rose Hill doubled their lead from a near post corner that got the slightest of touches but somehow managed to find the back of the net. Bramhall got a lifeline just before the interval when Oliver Clyne was on hand to tap in after the Rovers' goalkeeper fumbled a header. With their ears still ringing from the half time rollicking, Bramhall grabbed an equaliser through Simon Green. Rovers were then awarded a penalty but goalkeeper Elliot Clyne threw himself to his right to make a fantastic save from a well hit kick. Bramhall sensed Rose Hill's disappointment and with Hayden Amos and Travis Heywood taking control of the midfield the goals began to fly in. Oliver Clyne completed his hat-trick, Simon Green rounded off the best move of the day for his second while Marcus Lane and Charlie Gill chipped in with a goal apiece. |
