We’re looking for the best and most unusual amateur photos to plaster all over the desktops of Manchester (and beyond). Be it a sun-glinted Arndale, a close-up of the Irwell, a view across the city centre or a snap from somewhere else entirely, simply send it to us and the best images will be chosen by us to sit as wallpapers on the site. If that wasn’t enough, every month we’ll be collecting together the best submissions into a gallery where the public will vote for the photo of the month, leading to a round-up in December and the photo of the year being chosen. What we're looking for We'd like new and exciting views of Greater Manchester - that's the place, not the people. We want the buildings, the statues, the parks and the open spaces that inspire you. Show us and the rest of the world the beauty and uniqueness of our area. Remember – this isn’t about being a professional photographer, this is about getting the most inventive and extraordinary views of Manchester, Salford and the rest of the region seen by the people who live in it. Take a picture that you'd enjoy looking at every time you turned on your computer - after all, that's what people will be doing! Terms and conditions
