GMR Auction: the winners

There was a fantastic response to GMR's ‘All Day Auction’ on Children in Need night. All told, it raised just under £11,000 towards the £17.2 million raised across the country. Many thanks for taking part - here are the winners:


Throughout the day on Friday 18 November, BBC GMR held an auction of prizes that money can't buy to raise money for Children in Need 2005. Here is a list of the winning bids:

PRIZE: A week in Chicago

Details: You and a friend can fly from Manchester to Chicago in business class with BMI and stay for a week in one of the Windy City's top hotels.

Winner: Maureen Andrews from Knutsford  
Bid: £3,800

PRIZE: Meet a Man United player

Details: Sit down and chat to the Manchester United player of your choice at the club’s Carrington training ground. PLUS a tour of Manchester United’s museum and a signed shirt as a memento.

PRIZE: Helicopter flight over Manchester

Details: A 20 minute helicopter flight over Manchester on a route of your choice. Followed by a champagne lunch OR champagne dinner at The Waters' Reach Restaurant at the Golden Tulip Hotel Inn in Salford.

PRIZE: Day in Christmas Manchester
