What We Think:

“The Nightjars have a grand 70s rock edge unlike anything else that is around at the moment. Their debut EP is a solid three tracks of intelligent, well-crafted rock with a Northern heart, characterised by a breezy British bohemianism that reminds you Manchester is a magical place to be a part of, especially in the summer.”

Carol Hodge

Looking to form a band, lifelong friends Ollie and Phil were introduced to Dan at an Earlies concert in Manchester during the summer of 2004 and quickly established a rapport. Seamus joined in January 2005. Since then, the band has home-recorded its first demo and started performing around the North West.

In May, The Nightjars played an hour-an-a-half improvised set at The Night & Day Cafe with the former Can vocallist Damo Suzuki; since then, the group have returned to the task of writing and rehearsing material for their own set and look forward to more live shows and recordings.
