The
couple will be seen together on screen for the first time after
a gap of over eighteen years. It is also said to be the most expensive
Hindi movie ever made.
Amitabh,
Jaya, Shah Rukh and Hrithik play the rich Raichands and Kajol and
Kareena, the poor Sharma's.
In
a nutshell, Shah Rukh the adopted son rejects the path of life (and
marriage partner) chosen by his strict father and marries Kajol,
as a result he is disowned.
The
second half of the film focuses on younger brother Hrithik trying
to get the family back together.
Although
the films sub-title suggests it's 'all about loving your parents',
the characters are well rounded enough to spread their love to their
siblings, and also their partners in a way that left you testing
every emotion you are capable of feeling.
Emotional
dramas such as this one have to be seen to understand why they get
such a reaction, the tearjerking scenes just can't be described.
Undoubtedly
it has a lot to do with the actors, Kabhi Khushie Kabhie Gham had
fantastic performances from all concerned.
Although some would say you would expect nothing less from actors
of such high calibre.
Nevertheless,
although the talent that the Bachan's have is unquestionable, they
were still fantastic.
Superb
performances were given by Kajol and Shah Rukh, while they recreated
the unmistakable chemistry that they have together, Hrithik was
Hrithik (gorgeous/good actor/good dancer).
However, the
surprise package for me came in the form of Kareena who I previously
thought was highly overrated, her Alicia 'Clueless' Silverstone
character, designer gal 'Poo' was excellent.
The
kids in the film (one of which incidentally was Aryan Khan, Shah
Rukh's son) showed potential.
The
music and song picturisations were fab and the scenery and locations
(those houses!) extremely extravagant.
A well
made film, with some magical moments (hilarious and weepy) and possibly
the world's best looking family!

The greatest Bollywood "feudal family romance" made to date. It's
not "all about loving your family," it's all about surviving the incredible
cultural tensions of being a wealthy, Western- educated, consummately
bilingual film director in a creative milieu dominated by ancient
family connections. And Karan Johar doesn't just survive this. He
prevails. My Texan cowboy hat is off to this guy. He is a cinematic
genius.

This film rocked! I have watched it over & over again, yet I never
get tired of watching it. Shah Rukh, as usual, delivers. Hrithik wasn't
bad as well. I guess the only part that I just didn't get was when
Pooja was trying to get a date for the prom. Prom in university?!?!
And wasn't Rohit there to get his MBA? I thought that part was weird,
but otherwise the film was brilliant. A definite must see. 9.5/10

and highly recommended to friends and relatives.

This is the first bollywood film i've seen after 10 years. I must
say that I enjoyed it but there are a few minus points. 1. it was
too long and the end could have been a bit shorter. 2. the actors
cryed every 15 mins, which was a bit annoying. 3. kareens's character
was dispensable and ridiculas 4. it was a bit too patriotic (national
anthem, vande materam, etc..) but still I enjoyed wathching k3g, not
only because of the great actors (shahrukh, Kajol, Jaya and amitabh
bachan) who did a wonderful job. But still this film can be seen only
once.

I think that k3g was a really gud film & i have seen it plenty of
times... shah rukh looked absolutely gorgeous & hrithik was gud 2...kareena
was ok at the end but in beginning she was just annoing...kajal did
overacting in some scnenes which was boring overall the film was wicked
& all the expenses that were carried out on the filme eg costumes
maked it look even good & i love the song suraj hua madham!
From
Pritesh, London
K3G epitomizes everything that is wrong with bollywood. It is film
making at its worst! I find it difficult to class this as a movie,
the term 'fashion show' seems more appropriate! With an overkill of
exotic locations, fancy outfits and colourful sets it comes across
as a 3 and a half hour photo shoot! It focuses too much on 'looking
good' and not enough on substance. The film drags for the most part
and not for one second does the viewer feel gripped or engrossed.
90% of it is overdone, with people crying at the drop of a hat. Ok
so we all know that bolly films are OTT, but this one takes it to
another level!
From
Rafia, Sweden
I think it is one of the best movies of shahrukh.he is really a great
actor and he deserves an award for this.
From
Laila, Birmingham
good movie, kajol n srk were fab, they look soooo good 2getha n i
jus cnt wait 4 their otha movie, hopefully more 2cum! kareena was
the only low point of the film, tho her clueless character was amusin
4rm time 2 time, she was completely fake, dumb n she jus ruined the
whole film! i seriously dnt no y yash chopra n karan johar put her
in their films, they wont xactly get a turn out n ppl wont go 2 c
it! i hope karan realise wat hes done n replaces her in his forthcoming
film! i realy dont no y he has not put kajol, a talented actress in
his film but kareena a dumb bimbo, she cnt even smile! kareena, srk,
n saif ali khan looks like such a crap combo!

The subtle story telling, the glorified visuals & the charismatic
performances have set new standards in the history of film making.

K3G was a brilliant movie Hritiks acting was absolutly excellent,
Kareena's acting was just stupid, acting like a tart.
From
Manisha Amin, New Jersey
This movie was typical...it was all hyped up because of the cast,
I'm not saying I didn't like it....Shah Rukh is my favorite actor...it's
just that the story line was very typical...oh and Kareena's acting
was very poor...she was trying too hard to act modernized...please
no modern girl in America or London for that matter acts that way...too
fake...other than her, everyone's acting was awesome!
From
Aysha, Manchester
k3g... the best film in bollywood...i loved it it was amazing.....shahrukh

actings.
From
Megha Sen, Toronto
I really thought that this was an excellent movie, the casting and
the way that it was directed. Everyone did a wonderful job. Although,
i did think that the ending should have been a bit better. Nothing
was wrong with it just that they should have introduced the young
boy who played Kajol and Sha Ruk's son in the movie otherwise it was
great i cried through the move and it was just wonerful. If you have
not seen it you don't want to miss it!
From

I watched asoka and k3g and i am mad!!!!! virtually about the films
and the way they have been done. i send credit to amithab, jaya, SHAHRUKH
AND KAJOL, kareena and hrithik ...
From
Nabila Mohsin, Manchester
I totally disagree this movie was absolutely rubbish.
It did not live up to its expectations and was just a copy of Kuch
Kuch Hota Hai, but in reverse.
Even the music was a copy of previous Yash Raj Films.
The best acting was done by Hrithik Roshan.
From
Bhavesh Patel, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania
At times, a movie is rated on its ability to communicate a message.
Does this movie do its job? I think it does and credit must be given
to the actors/directors and producers which worked hard to make it
possible.
From
Ibrar Khan, Manchester
I thought the movie was ace. It had everything emotions, love and
hate. It has the potential to become one of the greats alongside 'Sholay'
and it's where it belongs in the top ten of the UK charts.
From
Ida, Malaysia
I never cried while watching any movie. Even Titanic!!
The last movie that made me cried was Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. And guess
what......
This movie (K3G) was the second that made me cry. Kudos to the stars
and director!
From
Zarah Husssain, Manchester
This movie made me feel physically sick. Oversentimentalised, overglossy
and totally unrealistic - even by bollywood standards. Awful cinematic
use of great acting talent - excepting Kareena kapoor who could not
act her way out of a dustbin.
From
Sam, London
I never cried, though my friends did I think that K3G was a heart
touching movie.
It was nothing of what has been seen before but still it was the way
that Karan Johar has presented it to be, that was good. I still think
that it can't beat kkhh. Keep it up though to the directors of the
film.

acting.
