Based in the heart of the city's student community, the new Manchester Aquatics Centre is one of the most exciting of all the Commonwealth Games developments and will host swimming, diving and synchronised swimming events.

Information for disabled spectators

  • Wheelchair spaces (each available with one accompanying companion seat) are available
  • Guide dogs are permitted in all areas
  • Disabled patrons may enter through the main entrance to the venue
  • There are no steps to climb before entering the venue
  • A lift is available for wheelchair users within the venue
  • There are accessible toilets

If visiting the Aquatics Centre, please remember:

  • No glass bottles or cans may be brought into the venue
  • No alcoholic beverages may be brought into the venue (alcohol can be purchased within the venue).
  • Smoking is permitted in restricted areas only
  • Children under the age of two will be admitted free provided they do not occupy a seat
  • It will be very warm inside the venue - dress appropriately
  • Flash photography is not permitted during diving and synchronised swimming sessions
  • Plan to arrive an hour before the start of the session
