Rommi
Smith is BBC 2002's Artist in Residence
and she will be performing her work in the
Northwest on television, radio and on-line.
Rommi's
remit is to take the Games as her inspiration
to create spoken word "poetic photos", capturing
the impact the Games is having on people's
lives and on the region - the triumphs,
the disappointments, the aspirations and
pitfalls encountered along the way as the
region gears up for the biggest ever event
in the Games' 72 year history.
