The Baton's route to Albert Square

On Wednesday 24th July, the Baton Relay will arrive in Manchester, travelling through the city centre and finally arriving at Albert Square where it will kick off the evening celebrations.

The Relay route through Manchester is as follows:

  • 5:22pm Ashton Old Road (A635) near Latham Street
  • 6:00pm turn right onto Pin Mill Brow
  • 6:25pm turn left onto Corporation Street
  • 6:28pm turn right onto Hanging Ditch
  • 6:29pm turn left into New Cathedral Street
  • 6:30pm turn right into St Marys Gate
  • 6:31pm turn left onto Deansgate
  • 6:36pm turn left onto Deansgate
  • 6:39pm turn left onto Brazennose Street
  • 6:47pm turn left onto Brazennose Street
  • 6:49pm turn left towards Albert Square
  • 6:50pm Finale on Stage

The arrival will affect traffic and roads will be closed in the city centre and other key areas. For more information about road and parking restrictions, click here.
