A swim of 1,500 metres alone would be enough to finish most of us off. Not these athletes!

These guys will complete that swim as well as cycling 40 kilometres and running 10km - all without a break. How's that for stamina?

This is the Triathalon course:

Women commence at 08:00 and men at 11:00.

Swimming: two laps of Salford Quays Docks near The Lowry

Cycling Course: Enters the city via Deansgate before turning right onto Peter Street, left onto Southmill Street, right onto Princess Street, right onto Albert Square (in front of Town Hall), then onto Mount Street, right onto Peter Street, left onto Deansgate and out of the city.

This loop is completed four times.

Running Course: from Salford Quays to manchester United football ground at Old Trafford, back towards the docks again along a circular route. The course must be complete three times.

Finishing line: at the Quays just behind The Lowry.

Venue:
Salford Quays
