Did you know...
Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland with a population of around 454,000.
Edinburgh is situated on top of what used to be a series of volcanoes. They are very ancient and now extinct!
Edinburgh is divided into two - the Old Town and the New Town.
Edinburgh is famous for holding two main festival events each year; the Military Tattoo and the Fringe Festival.
Famous Edinburghers include Sean Connery (actor), Alexander Graham Bell (inventor) and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (writer).
