Did you know...
Cardiff was declared the capital city of Wales in 1955.
Cardiff was once the premier exporter of coal in the world.
Cardiff is now the home of the new Welsh Assembly following the devolution of powers from Westminster in London.
The National Museum of Wales in Cardiff is reputedly haunted by its architect. Annoyed that his ashes were moved during rebuilding work, he is now said to move furniture around during the night.
