PresentersYou are in: Look North > Presenters > Clare Frisby Clare FrisbyShe's known for exploits which are a little more daring than presenting in the studio. ![]() Clare Frisby She's flown with the Red Arrows, wing-walked with the Crunchie Flying Circus, even sat next to Harry Gration in a 1920s Swift car – and Harry was driving! She presents the breakfast and lunchtime editions of Look North every weekday after a rather unorthodox way of getting into TV presentation. It all happened when the BBC were left with a programme to do but no presenter. Donning a jacket and earpiece, she sat in the hot seat for the 9.28pm bulletin as it was in those days and hasn't looked back since. During her time with Look North, she won BT News Broadcaster of the Year award for the North East and Yorkshire region in 1998. A big step on since reading politics at Hull University, Clare joined the BBC as a news trainee. She spent four years in local radio at BBC Radio York, reporting during the Gulf War, before moving to Look North in Leeds as a presenter. After a spell in Hull, Clare can now be found on the early shift, presenting the breakfast and lunchtime bulletins. Clare's favourite placeMy ideal get-away would have to be a spot on the coastal stretch around Whitby. Imagine a bright blue sky on a clear Spring day - add a bracing wind and I wouldn't be able to resist a walk from Sandsend to Whitby.
