Making Waves - Videos

Making Waves is Look North's summer series looking at life along the coast of the North East and Cumbria.

To celebrate our region's coastline Look North has been running a series of special reports. The first report featured the seaside town of Newbiggin-by-the-sea which has a new beach thanks to a £10m government grant.

The second report looked at the concerns of fishermen off the Solway Firth. They are worried about the impact of plans for the world's largest wind farm on their livelihoods.

Whitby's receding coastline was the subject of the third report. People living near the clifftops have watched the sea come nearer over the years, but are they worried about what might happen in the future?

The final report gave people a chance to get over this year's disappointing summer by remembering holidays past.
