Help playing audio/video The physical demands are enormous but for many financial stretch is almost as big a drain. For many young athletes, like Essex University student Abbie Thorrington from Ipswich, it's the parents who take the financial punches. Triathlete Abbie is training hard to win a place to compete in 2012. SportsAid in Suffolk is offering scholarships worth £6,000 to 12 up and coming sportsmen and women in the run-up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
