'We're here at the petrol station filling up just before we go into the Channel Tunnel. Had quite an emotional goodbye to my family and friends back at the office. I was quite tearful under my helmet. From the tearfulness I've gone to the excitement of the fact that we're actually on our way, this is really it. On our way to Africa now. France, Italy, Africa ... Just off to get a Red Bull. Grrrrr!'

As the trip got underway, your messages continued to pour in. See these below.

    You got me started

Hi Guys, Just wanted to say its because of you both that I am now at 37yrs old celebrating my first year as a biker. I have a beautiful Ducati 900ss as my first bike, and the second, a Triumph Scrambler is on the way. Because you changed my life for the better, I'll pay it back by donating to UNICEF to help change someone else's life for the better too. Thanks Martin
