Career highlight: Working on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
First Bike: A red tricycle
Greatest Long Way Round moment: Ewan shaving his beard off. While they were in Siberia, crossing rivers, having breakdowns.
Ambition for Long Way Down: Not to slow anyone down!
What Kind of Traveller are you? Experienced yet terrible...
What will you be doing on Long Way Down? Riding a bike, visiting UNICEF projects and kissing my husband good morning and good night.
See below for the comments left for Eve during her stint on the trip.

Good for You!
As a fellow motorcycle/surf/cycling widow, I am thrilled you decided to head out with the boys. You've given me inspiration to do the same after too many times taking care of kids, animals, and home whilst David was gallivanting around the countryside. Good on ya', mate!

Fantastic to see you on the trip!
Eve, it is great seeing you support Ewan like this, and it seems, having a great time in the process! If only I could convince my wife to join me riding. Ewan: Please, for every married guy out there who rides a motorbike – Pray tell, how did you manage? :-) Warmest regards, Richard T

Saffa chick, sitting in an aircon office, in crowded London in a suit - missing the African skies, open landscapes, great sunrises and sunsets and mostly the space! Fantastic site, enjoy your adventure and be safe.

Long Way Down... and beyond.
Hello Eve, It’s FANTASTIC that you are joining the guys! RUSS: re feelings from such an adventure. Ending my two-year solo world journey by motorscooter, opposing forces tore at me. Home pulled me, but so did the road I was leaving behind. It was great to be reunited with family and friends, but there was a conflicted emptiness, like standing alone on a deserted beach where you are whipsawed by a tsunami of memories and the need to move on. Now the feelings left are joy and optimism. You guys are forging a profound lifetime bond that few will ever know. One can imagine you all later, grey-haired, kicking back and reminiscing. Traveling alone had advantages, but solitary reminiscing sucks. I still have my Melawend, though, and contact with many of the people I met. Your LONG WAY journeys inspire the spirit of friendship, shared adventure, individual growth, and international goodwill – things the world needs more of. Ride safe. Ride well. Ride on. Tom.
