Taking a break ©
Jimmy’s been out under the stars, powering up the modem, and has sent along some more great clips. Cheers Jimmy! Catch up with the team as they crossed into Sudan, and hear more about that sand.
Charley updates from the inside of a very bumpy truck. 'We’re in Sudan, going off to the border. Been stuck on a boat for hours. We’re just finally moving now. So we haven’t even been to customs, or got our passports back or anything. And we haven’t started getting our bikes or cars either, so it looks as if it’s going to be a long day.'
Over to Ewan. 'Well here we are, speeding along in the Sudan, so we’re doing very well. It was a crazy journey down on the boat, like some crazy … I don’t know how to describe it, felt like we were all extras. But it’s good, we’re on the move. It’s chaos here, absolute chaos. So we none of us have our passports back, we’re just taking it on good authority that we’ll get them back up here somewhere, I don’t know. We’ll see.'
Some time later, the sand is still taking its toll. And there are a few more ‘offs’ …
Ewan looks back on a tiring day. ‘Well, we made it this far. Yesterday was tough though. I had a few nasty moments yesterday in the sand. Sand inside towns, where the walls, the streets are quite narrow and there’s kids and people running around, and you’d wobble, so I got very tensed up, and had a couple of big offs. I just can’t get through the deep stuff. Anyway, it’s good. We got through it.’
Everyone's got a favourite slogan T-shirt. We asked you for yours - see below for the comments you sent in.

You must be getting pretty sick of this sand by now, I bet you'll never want to build another sandcastle again! MY favourite t-shirt? Long Way Round!

sand, wraith and Claudio
sand sounds nasty. yikes. I would go barefoot but probably it's too hot for that. teh T-shirt answere would be "Wraith Food inside", which is very geeky (go figure it out :p) On a site note: Me and my friend wonder if Claudio has his bike back (or a new one). It's not the same when Claudio isn't there with Ewan and Charley. *much Claudio-love here*

The Tao of Kermit
My favorite T-shirt slogan has to be "I Understand the Muppets on a Deeper Level Than You." Hang in there through the sand guys, and remember the opening of the Muppet Movie: Kermit and Fozzy and the song "Movin' Along." Now if only one of you had packed a banjo...

I am a bomb disposal expert, if you see me running, try and keep up! That and my Alice Cooper teeshirt that now only comes out for special occassions. My kids bought me one with `Yoda is my Homeboy' on it, in honour of the nickname they so kindly gave me. One day the whole world will wear tee shirts :) Allie xxxx

"Don't worry I'm a professional" Is probably my favourite - working with computers it has so many inside jokes. Another personal favourite is: "I can only please one person a day. Today isn't your day. Tommorow isn't looking good either" I hope you are doing better in the heat than your logs read - Claudio, the camera equipment must be really taking a pounding in these weather conditions! Keep smiling!! Richard T
