Ewan's ready to roll ... ©
With the wind still blowing in Libya (hence poor sound quality - sorry!), we've had this clip in from the guys during their visit to Leptis Magna.
Ewan gives us a tour... 'We're here on the North coast of Libya at Leptis Magna, which is the most extraordinary Roman ruins. And this is the old forum place where they would buy and sell all the goods you would need for your daily life. It was open to the sky in the middle, but all around the sides would be a portcullis where people would be trading and selling goods. It's the most extraordinary place - it was three kilometres square, and it's the biggest privilege to be here, I have to say'. He embraces an equally impressed Charley, 'It is fantastic. You've got to come to Libya, and come to this place, absolutely!'
Ewan later turns the tables, and the camera, on Claudio to see what he's up to...
'Today I am in the car for a change, which is actually quite interesting as at last I have time to edit a few clips for the BBC website'. Ewan is impressed, 'So you're actually editing the clips that people are watching on the website here, in the back of the car, as you drive along?' he asks.
'Exactly', replies Claudio, 'and it works because the power is there, and I have time, and there's even some air conditioning so it's real luxury I must say!'
'And have you nodded off and had a kip at any point?' asks Ewan.
'No, no - I have the solidarity to you, I just try to hang in there and work hard!'
Ewan checks the facts with Jim in the front seat, 'Yeah, it's very true. See, we use a sign now, because he puts his headphones on so I hold this up: 'CLAUDIO – PAY ATTENTION!'
Claudio explains, ‘because I am living in my little bubble here, and so I don’t really know what’s happening around me. But it’s good, and we have some really good fun clips.’
Ewan emphasises 'It just goes to show the lengths we go to, to edit the clips actually on the move - brilliant!' While Claudio adds 'Yes, and there's no dust in the car, which is good'
'Yeah alright', warns Ewan, 'don’t rub it in...'
We asked if you were enjoying the clips - and here's what you said.

Fantastic Job Claudio!
My family and I are really enjoying the play-by-play video "feed" from the trip - makes us feel like part of the crew - luckily there is no sand here! Claudio you are doing a great job under these atrocious conditions; a true testament to your work. Please keep them coming! Cheers Richard. PS Need to see more of Charley’s antics.

thank you all so much!
Of course I enjoy the clips!!! And I'm also so thankful, that you have always a written subscript to the videos. Here in the office, I can't play the videos because of firewall. But then I can at least read the text. And as soon as I can leave, I jump on my bike, drive home and watch the videos!! It's amazing how much work you all do for us. I just can say: thank you, thank you so much! I really hope that you still enjoy the trip and see all the beautiful things around you! And btw, my list of 'places to go' grows all the time when I see the clips!

Almost give you the feeling that you're there with them - minus the sand of course!

Claudio is a God!!
Ok, perhaps that's overstating it a bit, but my family loves watching the video clips every day, so his and presumably Jimmy's efforts are much appreciated. It's school break here, and we're taking the opportunity to study about the areas the guys are passing through. That way, we can tell ourselves it's an educational interest, rather than a family of motorheads living vicariously.

Definitely enjoying the clips!
Thanks so much for the extra work to get these clips to us! Someone else posted it here and I agree, it really does make us feel like we're on the trip too. It's also reassuring to see everyone is doing well and having a great time. (Sans the sandblasting everyone got.) Thanks, Claudio and Jim for the work. It's become a great addiction.

Where's Eve?
When is she going to join the trip, and has she been properly innoculated against excessive testosterone?

Great update, I'm a media production graduate so always very interested to see what goes on behind the scenes, great to see Claudio doing a bit of editing. That wind is causing a big problem though, hey, you need a big popguard or a Dougal on your mic! Great to see those ruins, it's hard to comprehend something so old, imagining the hustle and bustle that must have gone on there thousands of years ago. Thanks again for the daily updates, good to see you having such a good time :o) Love Shellie
