Career highlight: My career highlight was definitely crawling down a loo in Glasgow while filming 'Trainspotting.'
First bike: Honda 100 4 Stroke
Greatest Long Way Round moment: Not being killed when I was rear-ended in a crash on a Canadian tarmac highway after getting all the way from London to Canada without a road accident.
Greatest biking music: 'Mr. Writer' by the Stereophonics
Ambition for Long Way Down: to get to Cape Town alive to celebrate getting all the way from John O'Groats to Cape Agulhas on our BMWs.
What kind of traveller? I love it - East, West, North, South - I don't care, just get me there!
